Our Governance

Message from the Chairman of the Management Board

Dear Families,

The Annual General Meeting of the Association of École du Nord (AEN), held on Thursday 26 March, was an important moment of exchange and community life for our school.

The AEN is a not-for-profit association, made up of volunteer parents and represented by a Board of Directors.

This Board serves as the school’s governing body and works in close collaboration with the leadership team to ensure the sustainability and continued development of the school.

Each year, at the Annual General Meeting, twelve parent members of the AEN are elected to form the Board for two-year terms, renewable up to three times.
This year, you have chosen continuity by renewing your trust in the current team, for which we are sincerely grateful.

As the re-elected Chair, I would like to address you on behalf of the entire Board of Directors.

We are honoured by your trust and fully committed to our mission: to support the development of our school and to ensure the well-being of our pupils, as well as that of all teaching and administrative staff.

The past year has been rich in dialogue and reflection. It has enabled us to lay the foundations for a structured school development plan, supported by an ambitious master plan and a robust financial framework. However, in an ever-evolving environment, we have also had to address unforeseen challenges, requiring us to adapt with agility and strengthen our collective spirit.

These present and future challenges are being approached with determination, driven by the cohesion and commitment of the team. We remain fully mobilised, both nationally and internationally, to represent and protect the interests of École du Nord families.

I would also like to warmly thank the members of the Board for their trust and support, which enable me to carry out this role with confidence as I enter my final year on the Board.

Please find attached the list of Board members and their respective committees.
Once again, we thank you for your continued trust and remain fully committed to serving our school and its community.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. Delphine Espitalier-Noël

The Management Board of Ecole du Nord : run by parents for parents

École du Nord is managed by parents. Its future depends on the commitment and contribution of each and every one of us.

The governance of École du Nord is ensured by the École du Nord Association (AEN), which is responsible for the school’s sound administrative and financial management. The AEN approves the annual budget, employs both teaching and non-teaching staff under local contracts, and determines the school’s main strategic directions in close collaboration with the leadership team.

The AEN operates as a collective governing body in the interests of all stakeholders and serves the entire parent community by ensuring the long-term success of École du Nord. Through its representatives, it also contributes to the development of Lycée des Mascareignes, which it co-founded alongside École du Centre. The AEN is committed to supporting students’ academic, educational, and personal development from nursery through to secondary education.
